Wanting Zhao, CFA, is an Investment Counsellor at RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, and a CFA Society Toronto volunteer.

This is what she had to share about her experience:

"After many years of studying to qualify for the CFA Charter, I wanted to stay involved. I hope I can contribute to making the CFA brand more valuable, helping other candidates pursuing this designation, and empowering more qualified professionals to pursue the CFA designation.

I enjoy the networking component of volunteering. We met other like-minded individuals who were passionate about providing thought leadership and educating our peers to improve every day! Through the events we organize, we can attract like-minded speakers and attendees and create a community where everyone can be together. I enjoy the community feeling very much.  

From volunteering, you get to live so many memorable experience! The most recent one was at the Annual Wealth Conference last fall. We had six amazing speakers from diverse backgrounds who spoke on a variety of topics: Rich Thinking, Canada’s Economy, AI, and Private equity. We even recorded a podcast with a famous financial influencer, Rational Reminder. It was exciting and different. The event was packed, and our attendees stayed and networked. Everyone felt refreshed, learnt something new, and met new connections."
