Bobby Thompson is the Waterloo Region Office Managing Partner at KPMG Canada. He is a partner focused on the insurance and financial services industry. He is also a board member of the THEMUSEUM in Kitchener, an adjudicator for the CPA Ontario Disciplinary Committee and is a member of the Wilfrid Laurier University Lazaridis Business School Dean’s Advisory Council. In addition to holding the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst, he holds the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant. He served on the CFA Society Toronto Finance Committee from 2015-2025 and the Board since 2020. He has lectured senior finance and accounting courses at Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College. A community member of Waterloo Region, he enjoys spending free time with his family – at the rink and climbing gym.
