Welcome to Schulich School of Business:

Days after over 11,000 Canadians sat for their June CFA exams, Schulich School of Business, CFA Institute and Toronto CFA Society united to celebrate their partnership at an official signing ceremony. In doing so, Schulich School of Business joined 118 distinguished CFA Partner institutions around the world.

Peter Jarvis, CFA, executive director for Toronto CFA Society said, “We are delighted to work with such a prominent leader in financial education and pleased to welcome Schulich School of Business as a partner school.”

Recognition as a CFA Program Partner signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that the university curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA exams. As part of the partnership, students in the partnering programs are entitled to scholarships, access to CFA Institute curriculum, journals, webcasts, and other educational resources, and each student will have access to a specially prepared online Level I sample exam.

“We are proud to have been recognized as one of an elite group of CFA Institute’s global university program partners,” said Schulich’s Dean, Dezsö J. Horváth. “Our Master of Finance program is already one of a kind, with its emphasis on the broader aspects of business such as governance, ethics and legal and regulatory frameworks. Partnership with CFA Institute makes it a must-have degree for those seeking careers in investment banking and asset management, as well as finance careers working with private equity firms, hedge funds, consulting firms and government agencies.”

The Schulich Master of Finance program covers an estimated 90 percent of the knowledge required for CFA exam preparation. It builds on and complements this knowledge with training in research methods, analysis of the latest financial products, and exposure to legal and regulatory frameworks.
