THE MOST FULFILLING PART  about belonging to a member society like CFA Society Toronto is the approximately 11,000 financial professionals who share an ongoing dedication and contribution to creating a trustworthy finance industry to best serve Canadians.

As someone who has had the pleasure of serving on CFA Society Toronto’s Board of Directors twice and volunteering with the Society for more than fifteen years, I know firsthand how rewarding it is to work alongside fellow members toward a shared vision. Over the years, I have enjoyed making the acquaintance of volunteers whom I would otherwise never have met, and I have forged meaningful professional connections thanks to this vibrant and giving professional community.

So much of what CFA Society Toronto accomplishes is due to its hard-working member volunteers and the time that they put into adding value to local membership. This year alone, over 250 volunteers have worked tirelessly to create a membership experience focused on local community building, professional and career development, connection, and networking opportunities. This year, CFA Society Toronto is working to improve our volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives to better showcase the achievements of our member volunteers.  

I would also like to share a heartfelt congratulations to the charterholders we’ll be honouring at the Charter Recognition Event, many of whom only recently joined CFA Society Toronto. This spring, CFA Society Toronto will be recognizing 418 charterholding members and a total of 477 local charterholders who earned their charters in 2020. We will also be recognizing 614 new charterholding members and a total of 667 local CFA charterholders who earned their charters in 2021.
