SPRING IS OFTEN SYNONYMOUS WITH HOPE  and new beginnings. After two long years of living our professional and personal lives virtually due to the pandemic, it looks like we will begin to have some options for in-person gatherings in the not-too-distant future. 

Spring is also a time of year when CFA Society Toronto members focus their efforts on the pursuit of continuing education and professional endeavours before allowing themselves a much-deserved break in the summer months. Even years after attaining our charters, many of us still associate this time of year with dutifully studying for the annual June CFA exams and pushing forward to reach our goals.

We hope to provide many opportunities for our members’ knowledge base to grow and flourish. Spring has become an integral time for of our “must attend” educational programming. On April 12 and 13, we will host our 2022 Annual Pension Conference, featuring three panel discussions and one informative keynote presentation. In May, we will welcome leading experts from the private wealth sector for our 2022 Equity Symposium.

CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing is gaining momentum both across Canada and globally, and it is still the only program designed by practitioners that’s also recognized by the Principles for Responsible Investment. We continue to run the Society’s three-part ESG Bootcamp series featuring our local practitioner experts who share how they integrate ESG factors into their respective practices as a precursor to the certificate.
