THIS SPRING HAS ALLOWED US to embrace the return to in-person events and focus on our strategic objective of providing meaningful ways for our members to connect. I want to highlight our recent efforts in this area.
CFA Society Toronto is proud to have more than 200 volunteers championing our mission to create opportunities for our members to raise standards and make high-quality contributions towards a trustworthy financial community. On April 20, as a part of Volunteer Appreciation Week, we thanked our volunteers at a breakfast drop-in and networking session. We greatly appreciate the time and service given so generously by our volunteers.
I’m sure many of our members remember that incredible feeling of accomplishment in passing Level III and then earning the CFA charter. We feel it is essential to recognize the achievements of our newest charterholders. Our annual CFA Charter Recognition event, which was held on April 28, sold out in a record time! On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to congratulate each of you who earned your charter this year and welcome you to our community.
Beyond networking opportunities, CFA Society Toronto strives to provide insightful programming to support the ongoing professional development of our members. This April, we launched our Innovation Series with a webinar on the outlook for crypto markets in 2023 and beyond. And by popular demand, this May, we offered a uniquely designed ESG Bootcamp for investment industry professionals seeking to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into their investment process.
Lastly, we are thrilled to unveil an exciting new community-focused communication platform that allows our members to connect online. The platform, Higher Logic, is currently being piloted by the Board and will be rolled out to members in the coming weeks.
Have a wonderful summer, and I hope to see you in person at one of our many events.
